Marvellous makes for children from our Community
We love seeing your crochet projects uploaded to our Community! Here are six of Merion’s favourites this week — all lovely makes for babies and children.
When I scan through my feed on the Community pages, it sends me into a WIP spin! I know I’ve got things to finish, but it inspires me to start new things too. It’s great to see unfinished projects popping up because I love to follow them to see how they evolve — my own crochet is such a mish-mash of works in progress and dreams-in-progress, and it’s great to see that other people are just the same!
Clever colour play and a fabulous stitch — more original inspiration from Laura Eccleston, aka HappyBerry crochet. I love this combination of purple hues with pink and peach. Laura created this stitch by playing with Broomstick Crochet, and it’s beautiful. The pattern will shortly find its way to LoveCrochet (we hope), but you can see Laura’s other patterns here. Follow Laura Eccleston!
Choosing our own colours make patterns our own — and working the Bertie Baby Blanket from Little Doolally in rainbow shades gives it a zingy, cheerful vibe. Jackie M has used Stylecraft DK here, and we love it! Follow Jacki M!
It’s fantastic to read about projects that are being created to try out new techniques. I loved reading jinglejanglejewelery’s comments on this project: making this bunny was her way of checking her ability to count stitches in the round. I think I need to try that too! Follow jinglejanglejewelry!
How utterly divine is this? Dawn C’s Our Favourite Things Baby Book is an heirloom to treasure. You can personalise this book with embroidery — it’s a wonderful gift for a new baby or favourite little toddler. Follow Dawn C!
Mermaid tails are all the rage. I’m planning to make one for my daughter (and one for me!) I love Theresa M’s colourway here, the aqua is perfect for that wonderful fin. I can’t wait to see this project completed, so I’m going to be following Theresa. Why don’t you join me? Follow Theresa M!
Why not upload your projects too? It’s great fun and easy to do!
