The Fastest Beanie – Free Tutorial!

If you haven’t yet discovered the fabulous Jess Coppom from Make & Do Crew, you’re in for a treat! Read on for a fabulous free pattern and video tutorial for the 1.5 hour Beanie!

Jess Coppom took the crochet world by storm last year with her flip-flop based Breckenridge Boots, gorgeous Campfire Cardigan and all manner of fabulous patterns (explore here – you’ll be utterly hooked!) and we’re thrilled to present our first collaboration with Jess – the 1.5 Hour Beanie video tutorial – a project perfect for beginners!

Jess has been a maker since she was 5 years old when she wanted to make a quilt, and she’s been crafting ever since! Her patterns and tutorials are easy to follow and will delight fans of modern crochet!

The 1.5 hour Beanie is one of those gorgeous squishy hats that you can whip up in – well – less than 2 hours! It is a simple rectangle crocheted in delicious Lion Brand Wool-Ease Tonal, a chunky weight wool/acrylic blend that works up fast! The clever ribbing is created by working into the back loop of each stitch – and Jess shows you just how to do that, and create your hat right from the starting chain, making it easy enough even if you’ve only just begun to learn!

You can either make a pom-pom for the top, or use a fake fur pom-pom for extra glamour!

Thank you for your clear concise video on your 1.5 hour hat! So very easy to follow. I make and donate chemo hats locally and this will be a nice, different pattern to the hats I give away. Way to go!!! Thankful from Alabama! -nita
