Safari of toy animals!
If your little ones love animals, make them a safari of toy animals! Take them from continent to continent with these sweet crochet toys!
King of the pride lands, the lion is the most iconic beast of the safari, but actually spends most of the day fast asleep in the sun! This little chap doesn’t look too dangerous – but his fluffy mane and tail are soft and furry to snuggle! This super pattern includes three different methods for making the mane and full instructions for a joint-able, full moveable toy.
Majestic tigers are Asia’s most loved big cat, with their glorious orange shot through with black stripes! This little cub has his stripes worked as you go along, and he stands 16.5″ tall.
Who knew rhinos could be so cute! Look at her little flower! This fabulous pattern is in English, German and Dutch, and is crocheted here in a sport weight cotton. You can make a bigger rhino by simply using a bigger yarn and hook!
If you really love rhinos…. this little baby hat is the cutest ever! The pattern contains six sizes, from 0-3 months right up to teenager! You’ll need your favourite grey worsted yarn and scraps of black and pale grey with some toy stuffing for the horn!
There are so many giraffe patterns to choose from, but I love Toast and Jam, these two little giraffe friends (or brother and sister perhaps!) They have dangly arms and legs and nice long necks to hold on to – and proper little giraffe hooves! They can be weighted down inside so that they sit properly, and they stand 30cm tall.
Who can resist Hippo the Swimmer? This little chap has his own rubber ring for when he takes a dip in the watering hole! He stands 5″ tall and is made up in any worsted weight yarn.
Isn’t this little backpack the sweetest ever? Perfect for animal-mad little ones off to the zoo! It’s crocheted in sport weight yarn with a 3.5mm hook, and it’ll be loved forever!
It was so hard to choose just one elephant from the selection of elephant patterns we have, but Zoe touched my heart! Elephants are perfect for amigurumi crochet techniques, producing the perfect shape trunks! I love Zoe’s little petal shaped ears, too!
