How to front post double crochet with Hopeful Honey

This week, we’re working with Hopeful Honey to teach beginners the front post double crochet stitch. 

We’ve been hosting Olivia from Hopeful Honey for the past few weeks as she teaches beginners the how-tos and the what-fors of crochet. From foundation chains to slip stitches and more, we’re on a journey with a destination of crochet fabulousness. This week, Olivia is tackling the front post double crochet, the foil to last week’s back post double crochet tutorial. Olivia says,

A front post double crochet is also known as front raised double crochet, and creates a beautiful texture. Front post can be done using most stitches, but for this video we will only focus on a double crochet stitch. You will need to know the basics of crocheting before attempting this stitch.
