Crochet with Kath – Textured pocket scarf

Squishy seed stitch and your favourite Paintbox Yarns palette are the ingredients for Kath Webber’s super cosy block-colour scarf! Wrap yourself in textured crochet with this simple scarf pattern that’s quick to make, practical and cosy with deep pockets.

You will need:

  • Paintbox Simply Aran (100g) 2 balls each of Washed Teal and Lipstick Pink and 1 ball each of Champagne White and Mustard Yellow
  • 6mm hook

How to make:

Make 31ch to begin.

Row 1: starting in 2nd ch from hook, *1dc in next st, 1tr in next st. Repeat from * across. Turn.

Row 2: Make 1ch (does not count as dc), *1dc in next st, 1tr in next st. Repeat from * across. Turn.

Row 2 sets the pattern. Repeat until piece measures 70cm.

Change to Champagne White. Work in pattern until section measures 50cm (120cm in total).

Change to Mustard Yellow. Work in pattern until section measures 50cm (170cm in total).

Change to Lipstick Pink. Work in pattern until section measures 70cm, (240cm in total). Fasten off.

Fold either end approx 20cm, and pin.

Attach yarn on right hand side. Work in dc evenly up to the end of the pocket, fasten off and weave in ends.

And there you have it! A wonderful simple but snuggly warm pocket scarf!
